King of Kings is a retelling of the ultimate sacrifice made by and the passion of Jesus Christ (Jeffrey Hunter). The film begins the story as the Romans begin to persecute and exile the Jewish people just after the turn of the century. It goes on to portray and show the humble birth of Christ is a small manger in tiny Bethlehem and how the young boy became a man and the Earth’s savior. It shows both Jesus’ divinity and his humanity as he performs incredible miracles throughout his life, but also like other people struggles with the devil and sin. The film concludes as Jesus fulfills his prophecy, gives his life, and becomes immortal.
