“Lord of Illusions” is a modern day pulp mystery of ‘who dun it’ with a twist. What seems like a normal everyday investigation leads, private investigator Harry D’Amour (Scott Bakula) into a world of cults and magic as doomsday cult is frantically waiting for the return of their once destroyed leader, Nix (Daniel von Bargen). It all leads back to the one who destroyed Nix in the first place, Swann (Kevin J. O’Connor) who has now become a major stage magician. His wife, Dorothea (Famke Janssen) hires D’Amour to protect her husband but not before one of his magic acts apparently kills him or has it?
