When Bastian Bux’s (Jason James Richter) father remarries, he believes he is finally getting the brother or sister he has so longed for. Instead, he inherits a new step-sister that is not to his liking. His troubles are compounded by his start in high school. He has become one of the favorite targets for a gang of bullies called ‘The Nasties’. In an effort to escape his life, Bastian climbs back into his wonderful land of Fantasia. Unfortunately, Slip (Jack Black), the leader of the Nasties, finds the Neverending Story and the way into Fantasia. While there, Slip terrorizes the land. Bastian must help restore order and in the process, finds a new friend in his step-sister, Nicole (Melody Kay).
