Pineapple Express is a buddy comedy released in 2008 that details the adventures of two potheads on the run after main character Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) observes a murder from the driveway of a drug kingpin's home. Denton, a pot-smoking, high school girl-dating, process server with little life purpose, suddenly realizes his life is in danger and immediately runs to his small-time drug dealer friend, Saul Silver (James Franco). From there the hijinx begin, as Denton and Silver are forced to run for their lives, while in the meantime reflecting on each of their lives and craving the occasional toke of marijuana. |
