Vasily Zaitsev (Jude Law) becomes one of Russia’s best snipers during World War 2. Vasily shoots many Germans and becomes a people’s hero in the process. The Germans send one of there best snipers to do away with Vasily who is causing mayhem in Stalingrad. Major Erwin Koenig (Ed Harris) comes to Stalingrad having studied all the publications where Vasily has appeared. He is determined to rid Russian of their hero with a little help from a spy on the Russian side. Vasily becomes afraid that Koenig is too good and a cat and mouse hunt through the ruins of Stalingrad leaves only one victor. |
