HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 Bourbon Balls: 
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, finely crushed
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
2 tbsp cocoa (optional)
1 cup finely cut dates or apricots
1/2 cup coconut
1/3 cup bourbon, brandy or rum
Preperation:
Combine all ingredients. Stir until stiff. Let stand 1 hour in refrigerator.

Coat hands (continuously) with confectioners' sugar. Roll mixture into balls.

Store in tightly covered container(s). Candies can be kept moist and fresh for several weeks.
