Ingredients:
1/2 cup oleo
2 1/2 cups brown sugar (firm)
3 eggs
3 squares unsweet chocolate
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk with 1 tsp vinegar
1 cup boiling water
2 tsp vanilla extract

Method:
Cream oleo until soft. Gradually cream in brown sugar until as smooth as possible. Add eggs,
one at a time, beating hard each egg. Stir in chocolate, melted over hot water. Sift flour, soda and salt
together. Stir portions of flour mix into oleo mix alternately with sour milk, ending with flour. Mix
in boiling water and vanilla. Batter will be thin.
Pour into oiled and lightly floured 13.9.2 pan. Bake 40 minutes at 375°.
